The Banks Monster-Ram is an advanced intake elbow engineered for the 6.7L Cummins engine in Ram trucks. It significantly improves throttle response and fuel economy by eliminating airflow restrictions inherent in the factory intake system. A critical feature of this system is its replacement of the failure-prone factory grid heater with a Banks high-flow intake plate, thereby preventing potential catastrophic engine damage caused by loose grid heater bolts falling into the engine. The Monster-Ram is the only 50-state emissions-compliant RAM intake elbow available. It boasts a substantial 88.3% improvement in mass airflow over the stock unit (72.7 lbs/min compared to 38.6 lbs/min MAF), achieved through a proprietary design that raises boost without increasing turbine back-pressure.
