Monster-Ram Intake Elbow and Grid Heater Upgrade

The Banks Power 42806-N Monster-Ram intake elbow and grid heater upgrade is engineered for 2007.5-2012 Ram 6.7L Cummins chassis cab trucks (3500, 4500, and 5500). This system directly addresses the airflow limitations of the stock intake, which can reduce boost and throttle response. By replacing the restrictive stock elbow and heater, the Monster-Ram provides a larger, less restricted path for air, improving flow by up to 88.3% over stock and increasing throttle response. It also raises boost levels without increasing backpressure at the turbine, offering more headroom for higher horsepower applications. The design of the Monster-Ram also serves a critical safety function by preventing catastrophic engine damage. The factory grid heater bolt is known to fail, leading to the bolt falling into the engine, often resulting in severe damage. The Banks system replaces the factory grid heater with a billet intake plate and a high-flow coil heater that sits vertically within the Monster-Ram, maintaining cold start performance while eliminating the risk of component failure. The included 750-watt coil heater outperforms the stock 670-watt unit, with options to upgrade to 1500, 2250, or 3000 watts by adding separate kits. The system utilizes a new proprietary fuel line for added clearance, allowing for a large, direct opening and unobstructed airflow.
