The Morimoto 2Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional lighting for the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma. This kit includes high-performance 2Banger LED pods with an HXB White Flood Beam pattern, custom-engineered brackets for a modification-free installation, and a switched wire harness. The brackets are made from laser-cut 304 stainless steel and are powder coated for durability. The LED pods feature proprietary components, including Osram LEDs and optimized LucidShape optics, with thermal dynamics optimized using SolidWorks and a copper DTP PCB for efficient heat dissipation. The HXB Flood Beam provides a wide, ambient light spread, making it suitable for low-speed off-roading, rock crawling, or illuminating campsites. The product is rated to IP69K standards for weather resistance, with an electroplated and powder-coated cast aluminum shell, a gasket system, integrated DT power connection, and breather valves. The included wiring harness is robust, featuring a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch with a yellow-LED backlight. While the Flood beam is not designed for long-distance projection, Morimoto states that other beam patterns (Spot, Combo, Wide) within the 2Banger series can be street-legal when aimed correctly.
