The Morimoto 2Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide auxiliary lighting for off-road and varied driving conditions. It offers versatile light aiming for long-range spot lighting or ditch lighting to illuminate the sides of the road. The kit includes high-performance 2Banger LED pods with choice of beam pattern, mounting brackets, and a switched wire harness. Engineered Fitment: This A-Pillar kit is specifically designed for the 2018 and newer VW Atlas. It has undergone extensive design, prototyping, and testing on the actual vehicle to ensure precise compatibility, utilizing existing mounting points for a modification-free installation. Construction and Durability: The mounting brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel and finished with a powder coating for durability. The light pods themselves feature proprietary components, with optimized thermal dynamics and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated. The gasket system, integrated DT power connection, and breather valves meet IP69K weather resistance standards. Performance: The 2Banger pods utilize modern, lumen-dense Osram LEDs with LucidShape optimized optics. It offers both white and yellow light output options. Various beam patterns are available, including: HXB Spot Beam: High intensity, long-distance illumination (up to 700 meters). HXB Combo Beam: Blends width and distance for medium-range illumination. HXB Wide Beam: Illuminates the area directly in front of the vehicle with dual-axis control, meeting SAE F regulation for legal fog light use. HXB Flood Beam: Provides broad ambient light for low-speed driving, rock crawling, or general area illumination. NCS Spot Beam: Focused 5-degree hot spot with a 14H x 4C degree flood beam for long-range visibility. NCS Combo Beam: Blends width and distance for comfortable medium-range illumination. NCS Wide Beam: Very wide beam to improve side visibility, meeting SAE standards for fog light use. Wiring Harness: The kit includes a robust wiring harness with a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder (20A mini fuse), DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch with a yellow-LED backlight.
