The Morimoto 2Banger A-Pillar LED system is a solution for additional lighting, offering versatility with various beam patterns (Wide/Fog, Spot, Combo, Flood). The kit is designed for a modification-free installation on the 2013+ Ford Transit, utilizing pre-existing mounting points. Brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel and powder coated for durability. The 2Banger pods feature proprietary components, optimized for performance with Osram LEDs using LucidShape, and thermal dynamics optimized with SolidWorks. Two performance tiers are available with white or yellow output. The HXB Spot Beam is designed for long-range illumination (up to 700 meters), the HXB Combo Beam provides a blend of width and distance, the HXB Wide Beam illuminates the ground in front of the vehicle and is SAE F compliant for fog light use, and the HXB Flood Beam offers ambient light for low-speed driving or illuminating campgrounds. NCS beam patterns are also available for different lighting needs. Yellow-output versions utilize Phosphor-converted Yellow LEDs for better performance in adverse weather conditions. The product is designed for reliability with a copper DTP PCB, optimized heat transfer, an electroplated and powder-coated cast aluminum shell, and a gasket system designed to IP69K standards for weather resistance. When aimed properly, Spot and Combo beam patterns comply with SAE J581 for auxiliary high beams, and Wide beam models are SAE-F compliant for fog lights. The kit includes a robust wire harness with a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder, DT06-2S female outputs, stainless steel terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch.
