The Morimoto 2Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional, precisely aimed lighting for off-road use. This kit offers versatility, allowing for long-range spot lighting or ditch lights to illuminate the side of the road. It includes high-performance 2Banger LED pods with a choice of beam patterns (HXB Spot, HXB Combo, HXB Wide, HXB Flood), and either white or yellow output. The kit also comes with application-specific mounting brackets and a switched wire harness.

The A-Pillar kit for the 2010-2014 Ford Raptor is engineered for perfect compatibility and a modification-free installation, utilizing existing mounting points on the vehicle. The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel with a powder-coated finish for enhanced durability.

**Performance and Technology:**
Morimoto's 2Banger lights feature proprietary components. LucidShape software was used to optimize performance around modern, lumen-dense Osram LEDs. Thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks and a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB to maximize heat transfer to the radiator. The cast aluminum housing is electroplated and powder-coated, and the gasket system, integrated DT power connection, and breather valves are designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

**Key Features by Beam Pattern (HXB Series):**
* **HXB Spot Beam:** Offers exceptional long-distance illumination, penetrating up to 700 meters.
* **HXB Combo Beam:** Delivers a balanced blend of width and distance, suitable for comfortable medium-range driving.
* **HXB Wide Beam:** Focuses illumination directly in front of the vehicle with dual-axis control for width and hotspot, compliant with SAE F regulations for legal fog light use on public roads when properly aimed.
* **HXB Flood Beam:** Provides broad ambient light coverage, ideal for low-speed driving, rock crawling, backup lights, or campsite illumination.

**Output Color Options:**
* **White-output:** General purpose visibility.
* **Yellow-output:** Utilizes phosphor-converted Yellow LEDs to effectively penetrate rain, snow, or fog without compromising light output.

**Street Legality:**
* When properly aimed, the Spot and Combo beam patterns comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams.
* The Wide beam model is verified compliant with the latest SAE-F regulation for on-road use as a fog light (by Calcoast Labs in California) when mounted in the fog light position and aimed appropriately.

**Wiring Harness:**
The included wiring harness is robust, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with hanger, a proprietary over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with a Yellow-LED backlight.
