The Morimoto 2Banger A-Pillar LED system is an auxiliary lighting solution designed to provide additional light precisely where needed. This kit offers versatility with various high-performance 2Banger LED pods available in different beam patterns, including HXB Spot, HXB Combo, HXB Wide, HXB Flood, NCS Spot, NCS Combo, and NCS Wide. Users can also choose between white or yellow light output. The yellow output features Phosphor-converted Yellow LEDs, which are specifically engineered for optimal performance in challenging weather conditions such as rain, snow, or fog, without compromising light output. The kit is built for durability, featuring laser-cut 304 stainless steel brackets and a robust cast aluminum shell. Advanced thermal dynamics are ensured through the use of a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB, which maximizes heat transfer to the radiator. The entire system is designed to IP69K standards, guaranteeing full weather resistance. The wide beam model is verified as SAE-F compliant for on-road use as a fog light by Calcoast Labs in California, while the spot and combo beam patterns comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams when properly aimed. The kit includes a comprehensive and proprietary wiring harness engineered for proper power delivery. This harness features a triple-sealed 4-pin relay with a hanger, a proprietary over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with a yellow-LED backlight. The design ensures a modification-free installation, aligning with pre-existing mounting points on compatible vehicles.
