MORIMOTO 2BANGER DITCH LIGHT KIT: G

The Morimoto 2Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional light, aimed precisely where needed. This kit offers versatility with options for long-range spot-lights for high-speed driving or ditch lights to illuminate the sides of the road. It includes high-performance 2Banger LED pods in a choice of beam patterns, brackets for easy installation, and a switched wire harness. The A-pillar kit for the Jeep Gladiator has been extensively designed, prototyped, and tested for perfect compatibility and modification-free installation using pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel and powder-coated for durability.

The 2Banger features a compact footprint, making it suitable for locations where full-size pods may not fit. Each set of 2Banger LED pods includes adjustable pedestal mounts for universal fitment, and application-specific mounting bracket kits are available for various trucks.

The product utilizes proprietary components, with LucidShape optimizing performance with modern Osram LEDs. Thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks. It is available in two performance tiers (white or yellow output) and four distinct beam patterns: Wide/Fog, Spot, Combo, and Flood. The HXB Spot beam offers long-distance illumination, capable of penetrating up to 700 meters. The HXB Combo beam provides a blend of width and distance, while the HXB Wide beam illuminates the ground directly in front of the vehicle with a proper cutoff for SAE F regulation compliance as a fog light. The HXB Flood beam provides wide ambient light for low-speed driving, rock crawling, or camp illumination. NCS beam patterns (Spot, Combo, Wide) are also described.

For all-weather visibility, white output is ideal, while phosphor-converted yellow LEDs are available for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog without compromising light output. Reliability is ensured through features like a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximizing heat transfer, a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated, and a gasket system with integrated DT power connection and breather valves designed to IP69K standards for weather resistance.

When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beam patterns comply with SAE J581 standards for an auxiliary high beam. The 2Banger wide beam model is verified-compliant with the latest SAE-F regulation for on-road use as a fog light. An optional wire harness is available, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with a yellow-LED backlight.
