The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a ditch light kit designed to provide enhanced illumination. It offers versatile lighting options, including long-range spotlights for high-speed driving and ditch lights to illuminate the side of the road. This specific A-Pillar kit is engineered for the 2015 and newer GMC Canyon models, ensuring perfect compatibility with existing mounting points for a modification-free installation. The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for exceptional durability. The yellow-output version features Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs, which are highly effective in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog, providing optimal light penetration without compromising output. The 4Banger's design incorporates a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated for resistance to the elements. The internal components are potted, the input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket adheres to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. For a clean installation, cable routing clips are integrated into the bracket stem to manage wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light utilizes LucidShape technology to optimize performance around modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. It is available with Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Spot beam features a highly focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam, making it ideal for long-range visibility. The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other notable brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When properly aimed, the Spot and Combo beams meet SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models comply with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Optional blackout covers are available for compliance with local regulations that require auxiliary lights to be covered during everyday driving.
