The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a comprehensive solution for enhancing vehicle lighting. It provides focused illumination exactly where needed, offering versatility for both long-range spot lighting during high-speed driving and ditch lighting to illuminate the sides of the road. The kit is specifically engineered for the 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado, ensuring a perfect and modification-free installation by aligning with pre-existing mounting points.

The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and then powder-coated for extreme durability, designed to outlast other vehicle components. For optimal visibility in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or fog, the kit features a yellow-output version. Morimoto utilizes Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs, which generate yellow light at the source for superior atmospheric penetration without compromising light output.

Reliability is a key focus, with extensive efforts dedicated to managing the high heat generated by the powerful LEDs. The 4Banger incorporates a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer to an optimized radiator. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to resist flaking, and the potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket are designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

The wiring system includes several mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket stem, ensuring clean cable management down into the engine bay. It can be easily connected with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness for a clean and reliable installation.

The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light is built with proprietary elements, with performance optimized around modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram using LucidShape technology. The optics are produced to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks.

The NCS Spot Beam illuminates effectively into the distance, featuring a highly focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam, making it ideal for long-range visibility and avoiding hazards at a distance.

The optional wire harness is also meticulously designed, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight.

While designed to pair perfectly with 4Banger LED pods, the A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

For street legality, when properly aimed, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam model complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional blackout covers are available for compliance in localities where auxiliary lights must be covered for everyday driving.
