The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a ditch light kit designed to provide auxiliary lighting. It offers versatility with different beam patterns (NCS Yellow Combo Beam in this specific product, also available in Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo). The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, vehicle-specific brackets, and a switched wire harness for a clean and modification-free installation. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The yellow-output version uses Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for optimal penetration in rain, snow, or fog without compromising output. The 4Banger LED pods are engineered for reliability, featuring a copper DTP PCB for maximizing heat transfer and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated before powder coating. The internals are potted, wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket is designed to IP69K standards for weather resistance. The kit includes cable routing clips for tidy wiring. The NCS Combo Beam provides a blend of width and distance illumination, making it suitable as an aid to high-performance headlights. The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch. The A-Pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When properly aimed, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models comply with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Optional blackout covers are available for localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
