The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide auxiliary lighting for vehicles, specifically aimed from the A-pillar position. This kit offers versatility with long-range spot-lights for high-speed driving and ditch lights to illuminate the side of the road. It includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods in an NCS Yellow Wide Beam pattern, along with robust brackets for a modification-free installation, and a switched wire harness for proper power delivery. The product features engineered fitment for the Toyota Tundra 2014-2023, having undergone extensive design and testing to ensure perfect compatibility with existing mounting points. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for exceptional durability. The NCS Yellow Wide Beam output is specifically designed for optimal visibility in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow, or fog, utilizing Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs to effectively penetrate atmospheric particles without compromising light output. Reliability is a key focus, with features like a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer, an optimized radiator, and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to resist flaking. The internals are potted, input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket meets IP69K standards for full weather resistance. Wiring and cable management are integrated into the bracket design, providing mounting locations and clips for clean routing of the input wiring into the engine bay, facilitating a plug-and-play installation with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. The 4Banger LED pod light utilizes proprietary elements, with optics optimized around modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram using LucidShape. Thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks. The NCS Wide Beam specifically illuminates the ground directly in front of the vehicle and provides a very wide beam for improved side visibility. Its superior vertical gradient control prevents glare for oncoming traffic and, when properly aimed in the fog light position, meets SAE standards for on-road use as a fog light. The optional wire harness is built with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.
