The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides additional lighting, designed for precise aiming. It offers versatility with various beam patterns, including long-range spotlights and ditch lights. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, installation brackets, and a switched wire harness. Engineered Fitment: The A-Pillar kit is specifically designed for 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma models. It utilizes existing mounting points for a modification-free installation. Durability: The brackets are made from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for extreme durability and weather resistance. All-Weather Performance: The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility. A yellow-output version with Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs is available for optimal performance in rain, snow, or fog, effectively penetrating air particles without compromising output. Reliability: The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer to the radiator, which is optimized for thermal efficiency. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated for flaking resistance. Potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket are designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. Wiring & Cable Management: The brackets incorporate mounting locations and cable routing clips for clean wiring down into the engine bay, allowing for plug-and-play installation with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. Performance: The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics optimized using LucidShape. Thermal dynamics are optimized with SolidWorks. It's available in Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Wide Beam provides illumination directly in front of the vehicle and off to the sides, with vertical gradient control to eliminate glare. When aimed correctly, both NCS and HXB Wide Beam models are compliant with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. Optional Wire Harness: The optional wire harness is designed for optimal performance, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. Compatibility (Brackets): The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with Morimoto 4Banger LED pods and most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. Street Legality: When aimed properly, Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. NCS and HXB Wide Beam models, with a -4 degree aim, are compliant with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Optional Blackout Covers are available to comply with local regulations requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
