The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional light, precisely aimed. It offers versatility with various beam patterns (Wide/Fog, Spot, Combo). The A-Pillar kit for the 2014-2018 GMC Sierra features an engineered fitment with pre-existing mounting points for a modification-free installation. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while the yellow-output version, utilizing Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs, is optimized for rain, snow, or fog conditions without compromising output. The 4Banger incorporates a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer to the radiator, and its cast aluminum shell is electroplated before powder coating to withstand flaking. The internals are potted, input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket meets IP69K standards for weather resistance. It also includes cable management features and a switched relay wire harness for a clean installation. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics optimized using LucidShape and thermal dynamics optimized with SolidWorks. The kit is compatible with LED pods from most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models comply with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Optional blackout covers are available for localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
