The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a comprehensive lighting solution designed for the 2010-2013 Toyota 4Runner. It offers enhanced light output with versatile beam patterns for various driving conditions, from long-range spotlighting to ditch lighting. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, custom-designed brackets for a modification-free installation, and a switched wire harness. The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for exceptional durability. This particular kit features NCS Yellow Spot Beam pods, which utilize Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for superior performance in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog, without compromising light output. The system prioritizes reliability with features such as a copper DTP PCB for efficient heat transfer, a cast aluminum shell, and IP69K-rated components for full weather resistance. Thoughtful wiring and cable management are integrated into the bracket design for a clean and secure installation. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pods incorporate LucidShape optimized optics, modern Nichia and Osram LEDs, and SolidWorks-optimized thermal dynamics. The NCS Spot beam provides a highly focused 5-degree hot spot with a surrounding 14H x 4C degree flood beam for excellent long-range visibility. The kit also includes a robust wire harness with a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder, DT06-2S female outputs, stainless steel terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. The Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beam when properly aimed, and the Wide beam complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance in localities requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
