The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional light, aimed specifically where desired, offering versatility for both long-range spot lighting and ditch lighting. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, installation brackets, and a switched wire harness. Engineered Fitment: Morimoto's A-Pillar kit for the 2014-2022/2024 Toyota 4Runner has undergone extensive design, prototyping, and testing to ensure perfect compatibility. It utilizes pre-existing mounting points, making the installation modification-free. Durability: The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for extreme durability, designed to withstand harsh conditions. All-Weather Performance: The yellow-output version uses Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs, which produce yellow light at the source for optimal penetration through rain, snow, or fog without compromising output. Reliability: Features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer, an optimized radiator, and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking. The internals are potted, wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket is designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. Wiring & Cable Management: The brackets incorporate mounting locations and cable routing clips for clean wiring from the LED pods into the engine bay, allowing for plug-and-play installation with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. Performance: The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light features proprietary elements. LucidShape was used to optimize performance around modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. Optics are produced to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks. Available in Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Combo Beam offers a blend of width and distance, making it suitable as an aid to high-performance headlights. Wire Harness: The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with amber-LED backlight. Compatibility (Brackets): The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from Morimoto and most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. Street Legality: When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. The NCS and HXB Wide Beam models, with a standard -4 degree aim, comply with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Optional Blackout Covers are available for localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
