The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides additional lighting for the 2014-2022 Toyota 4Runner. It is designed for easy, modification-free installation, utilizing pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are made from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The kit is available in white or yellow output. The white-output version is ideal for all-around visibility, while the yellow-output version is designed for optimal performance in rain, snow, or fog, using Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for heat transfer, a cast aluminum shell, and IP69K-rated internals for weather resistance. It includes cable routing clips for clean wiring and an optional switched relay wire harness. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optimized optics and thermal dynamics. The HXB Combo Beam offers a blend of width and distance illumination, making it suitable as an aid to high-performance headlights. The kit is compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance with local regulations.
