The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides powerful illumination for 2014-2018 GMC Sierra 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD models. This kit is designed for a modification-free installation, utilizing pre-existing mounting points on the vehicle's A-pillar. The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for exceptional durability. The HXB Yellow Wide Beam pods feature Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for optimal performance in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog, effectively penetrating air particles without compromising output. The LED pods are engineered with a copper DTP PCB and optimized radiator for maximum heat dissipation, ensuring reliability. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated for resistance against flaking, and the internals are potted with over-molded input wiring and a main gasket, all designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. The kit includes a switched relay wire harness for a clean and reliable electrical connection. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pods leverage LucidShape for optimized performance with Nichia and Osram LEDs, offering industry-leading beam patterns including Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo. The HXB Spot Beam, equipped with powerful Osram LEDs and HXB LED optics, can illuminate up to 800 meters. The wire harness components are meticulously selected, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push button switch with amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When properly aimed, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam model complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance in localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
