The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides increased lighting aimed where desired, offering versatility for long-range spot-lights or ditch lights. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, installation brackets, and a switched wire harness. The A-Pillar kit for the 2007-2013 Chevrolet Silverado is designed for perfect compatibility and modification-free installation using pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version is available for optimal performance in rain, snow, or fog, utilizing Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs. The product emphasizes reliability with a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for heat transfer and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to resist flaking. The internals are potted, and the wiring and gaskets meet IP69K standards for weather resistance. The wiring includes mounting locations and cable routing clips for a clean install. The 4Banger LED pods feature proprietary design and optics optimized using LucidShape and SolidWorks for thermal dynamics. It's available in Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Wide Beam illuminates the ground in front and to the sides of the vehicle, with superior vertical gradient control to prevent glare to oncoming traffic and is SAE F 20 compliant (Custom Offsets). The Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for use in fog lamps (Lightwerkz.net) and meets SAE F regulation when aimed properly for street-legal fog light use. The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder, DT06-2S female outputs, stainless steel terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.
