The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional light, with versatility in beam patterns (spot, wide/fog, combo). It features laser-cut 304 stainless steel brackets that are electroplated and powder-coated for durability and a modification-free installation using pre-existing mounting points. The white-output version is for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version (not this MPN) is available for optimal output in adverse weather conditions. The lights use Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for effective penetration through particles in the air. The design includes a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for heat management, electroplated cast aluminum shell, and potted internals with over-molded input wiring and gasket for IP69K weather resistance. It also features integrated cable management. The NCS Spot beam provides a highly focused 5-degree hot spot with a 14H x 4C degree flood beam for long-range visibility. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from Morimoto and other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beam, and the Wide beam complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional blackout covers are available for compliance in localities requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
