MORIMOTO 4BANGER DITCH LIGHT KIT: 1

The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a lighting solution designed to provide additional light precisely where needed. This kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods with a choice of beam pattern (NCS Yellow Spot Beam for this specific product), installation brackets, and a switched wire harness. It is engineered for a modification-free installation on the 2009-2014 Ford Raptor, aligning with pre-existing mounting points.

The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for exceptional durability. This particular product features Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs, which are optimized for superior output in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog, effectively penetrating air particles without compromising light output.

The product's reliability is ensured through features like a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB that maximizes heat transfer to the radiator, and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated before powder coating to resist flaking. The internals are potted, input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket adheres to IP69K standards for full weather resistance.

For streamlined installation, the kit incorporates mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket stem to guide the input wiring to the engine bay, allowing for a plug-and-play setup with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. The NCS Spot Beam pattern provides long-range visibility with a focused 5-degree hot spot and a surrounding 14H x 4C degree flood beam.

The optional wire harness is built with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other brands such as Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Regarding street legality, when aimed correctly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for use in fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available to comply with local regulations requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
