The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides additional lighting that can be aimed as desired, from long-range spotlights for high-speed driving to ditch lights for illuminating the side of the road. The kit is designed for versatile use. Morimoto's A-Pillar kit for the 2015-2020 Ford Raptor has undergone extensive design, prototyping, and testing directly on the truck to ensure perfect compatibility. It utilizes pre-existing mounting points for a modification-free installation. The brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The yellow-output version is ideal for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog, using Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs that produce yellow light at the source for effective penetration through particles in the air for effective penetration through particles in the air without compromising output. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximizing heat transfer to the radiator, and the cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated to resist flaking. The potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket are designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. Cable routing clips are incorporated on the bracket stem for clean wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light has proprietary elements, utilizing LucidShape for performance optimization around Nichia and Osram LEDs. The NCS Wide Beam illuminates the ground directly in front of the vehicle and provides a wide beam for improved side visibility, with superior vertical gradient control to eliminate glare to oncoming traffic. When properly aimed in the fog light position, it meets SAE standards for on-road use as a fog light. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. The Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams when aimed properly, and the Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for use in fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
