The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides additional lighting with versatility, offering long-range spot-lights or ditch lights. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods (available in various beam patterns), installation brackets, and a switched wire harness. The A-Pillar kit for the 2011-2016 Super Duty is designed for a modification-free installation, aligning with pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while the yellow-output version (using Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs) is designed for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog without compromising brightness. The 4Banger features a copper DTP PCB and an optimized radiator for heat management, a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking, and potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and main gasket designed to IP69K standards for weather resistance. Cable routing clips are integrated into the bracket stem for clean wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses LucidShape for optimized performance around Nichia and Osram LEDs. It is available with Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Wide Beam illuminates the area directly in front and to the sides of the vehicle, with superior vertical gradient control to prevent glare to oncoming traffic, and meets SAE standards for on-road fog light use when mounted and aimed correctly. The optional wire harness features a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. The Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 for auxiliary high beams when aimed properly, and the Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional blackout covers are available for compliance in localities requiring auxiliary lights to be covered.
