The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide auxiliary lighting with versatile beam patterns. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, application-specific brackets for easy, modification-free installation, and a switched wire harness for proper power. The brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The yellow-output version uses Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog. The LED pods feature a copper DTP PCB for maximum heat transfer, and the cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated for resistance to flaking. The internals are potted, wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket meets IP69K standards for weather resistance. Cable management clips are integrated into the bracket design. The 4Banger LED pods utilize LucidShape for optimized performance around Nichia and Osram LEDs, with optics produced to world-class standards and thermal dynamics optimized using SolidWorks. Available in Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Wide Beam illuminates the ground directly in front of the vehicle, providing a wide beam for improved side visibility and superior vertical gradient control to eliminate glare. When properly aimed in the fog light position, it meets SAE standards for on-road use as a fog light. The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from Morimoto and other brands such as Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. The Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams when aimed properly. The Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for use in fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available to comply with local regulations requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
