The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a versatile lighting solution designed to provide targeted illumination. It allows for various beam patterns, from long-range spotlights for high-speed driving to ditch lights for illuminating the side of the road. This A-Pillar kit for the 2009-2014 Ford Raptor features engineered fitment with pre-existing mounting points for a modification-free installation. The brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder coated for durability. The yellow-output version utilizes Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog, penetrating through air particles without compromising output. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB and an optimized radiator for heat transfer, housed in an electroplated and powder-coated cast aluminum shell. The internals are potted, input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket meets IP69K standards for full weather resistance. It includes cable routing clips on the bracket stem for clean wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics produced to world-class standards. Thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks. Available beam patterns include Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo. The NCS Combo Beam illuminates a clear path with medium range, providing a blend of width and distance illumination, with an 8H x 4V oval hot spot and a 10V degree spread at beam center. The optional wire harness features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push button switch with amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beam, and the Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance in localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
