The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional lighting, precisely aimed. It offers versatility with various beam patterns, including long-range spotlights for high-speed driving and ditch lights for illuminating the side of the road. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, installation brackets, and a switched wire harness for a modification-free installation using existing mounting points. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version with Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs is available for optimal output in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog. The 4Banger pods feature a copper DTP PCB for maximum heat transfer to an optimized radiator, a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated, and potted internals with over-molded input wiring and a main gasket designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. The kit includes cable routing clips on the bracket stem for clean wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses LucidShape to optimize performance around modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics produced to world-class standards and thermal dynamics optimized using SolidWorks. The NCS Combo Beam offers a blend of width and distance illumination, with an 8H x 4V oval hot spot and a 10V degree spread, ideal as an aid to high-performance headlights. The optional wire harness is also engineered for reliability, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
