The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a versatile lighting solution designed to provide targeted illumination. This kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods in a wide beam pattern, A-pillar brackets for easy installation, and a switched wire harness. The A-Pillar kit for the 2014-2018 GMC Sierra is engineered for perfect, modification-free compatibility, aligning with pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version is available for optimal performance in rain, snow, or fog using Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs. The product prioritizes reliability with a copper DTP PCB for heat transfer, a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking, potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and a main gasket designed to IP69K standards for weather resistance. The kit includes cable routing clips on the bracket stem for clean wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pods utilize modern Nichia and Osram LEDs, with optics optimized using LucidShape and thermal dynamics using SolidWorks. Available beam patterns include Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo. The NCS Wide Beam illuminates the area directly in front of the vehicle and provides a wide beam for improved side visibility, with vertical gradient control to prevent glare to oncoming traffic, meeting SAE standards for on-road fog light use when properly aimed. The optional wire harness is designed with a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch with amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. The Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps when aimed correctly. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance with local regulations.
