The Morimoto BigBanger A-Pillar LED system is a hood ditch mounted light kit designed to provide enhanced lighting. It offers versatility with choice of beam pattern and color, suitable for long-range spot-lighting or illuminating the side of the road. This A-Pillar kit is specifically engineered for the 2020+ Chevrolet Silverado HD, ensuring perfect compatibility and a modification-free installation using pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel and powder coated for durability. The BigBanger LED pods are developed using LucidShape for optimized performance with modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, and SolidWorks for optimized thermal dynamics. It is available in two performance tiers, two beam patterns (spot or combo), and two colors (white or yellow output). The HXB Yellow Combo Beam offers a blend of width and distance illumination, making it suitable for all-around visibility in various weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog, thanks to Phosphor-converted Yellow LEDs. The kit includes an amber backlight with dual intensity control, which dims at night and is integrated into an optional wire harness. The wire harness features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder, DT06-4S female outputs, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch. The system emphasizes reliability with a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for efficient heat transfer, a robust electroplated and powder-coated cast aluminum shell, and an IP69K-rated gasket system for full weather resistance.
