The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is designed to provide additional light precisely where needed. It offers versatility with long-range spotlights for high-speed driving or ditch lights for illuminating the side of the road. The A-Pillar kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods with various beam patterns and brackets for a modification-free installation. The brackets are laser cut from 304 stainless steel and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while the yellow-output version uses Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog. Reliability is a key focus, with features like a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer, a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking, and potted internals with over-molded input wiring and a main gasket designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. The wiring and cable management are designed for a clean install, incorporating mounting locations and cable routing clips on the bracket stem. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light features proprietary elements, with performance optimized using LucidShape and lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. Optics are produced to world-class standards, and thermal dynamics are optimized using SolidWorks. Available beam patterns include: HXB COMBO BEAM: Provides a blend of width and distance illumination for medium-range visibility, ideal for everyday driving. HXB SPOT BEAM: Illuminates far into the distance, with powerful Osram LEDs capable of penetrating up to 800 meters. HXB WIDE BEAM: Illuminates the ground directly in front of the vehicle with dual-axis control for width and active hot spot control. These are SAE-Compliant fog light pods, 80% brighter than Rigid D-Series SAE Fog lights, and photometrically verified. NCS COMBO BEAM: Similar to HXB Combo, offering a blend of width and distance for medium range. NCS SPOT BEAM: Illuminates well into the distance with a focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam. NCS WIDE BEAM: Provides a very wide beam to improve visibility off to the sides of the road, with superior vertical gradient control to eliminate glare. It's 14% brighter than its closest competitor (Rigid D-Series SAE) while consuming 28% less power and meets SAE F photometric standards. FLOOD BEAM: Offers ambient light coverage in every direction, suitable for low-speed driving, rock crawling, back-up lights, or illuminating campgrounds. The included wiring harness is designed for high performance, featuring a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with a yellow-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from most other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.
