The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a comprehensive lighting solution designed for enhanced visibility. This kit offers versatility for various driving conditions, from long-range spot-lighting for high-speed driving to ditch lights for illuminating the side of the road. It includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods and A-pillar brackets specifically engineered for a modification-free installation on 2019+ Ram HD trucks, utilizing existing mounting points. The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for superior durability, even in extreme conditions.

This particular kit features the "NCS Yellow Spot Beam" configuration, employing Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs. This technology produces yellow light directly at the source, offering optimal penetration through atmospheric particles like rain, snow, or fog without compromising light output, unlike white light filtered through a yellow lens.

The product emphasizes reliability, incorporating a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB to maximize heat transfer to the radiator, which has undergone extensive thermal analysis. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking. The internals are potted, and the input wiring is over-molded, with the main gasket designed to IP69K standards, ensuring full weather resistance.

For a clean installation, the kit integrates cable routing clips on the bracket stem to manage input wiring down into the engine bay, allowing for plug-and-play connection with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pods utilize modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics optimized using LucidShape and thermal dynamics analyzed with SolidWorks.

The NCS Spot Beam pattern delivers a highly focused 5-degree hot spot surrounded by a 14H x 4C degree flood beam, making it ideal for long-range visibility. While not as powerful as the 4Banger HXB Spot (which uses Osram LEDs), when combined with NCS Combos, it effectively aids in detecting distant hazards. The A-Pillar brackets are broadly compatible with LED pods from other brands, including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Regarding street legality, when properly aimed, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam model meets SAE J583 for fog lamps. Users should be aware that some localities may require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving, for which optional Blackout Covers are available.
