This Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides additional light precisely where needed, functioning as long-range spot-lights or ditch lights. The kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, vehicle-specific brackets, and a switched wire harness for easy installation. The A-Pillar kit for the 2015+ Colorado is engineered for perfect, modification-free compatibility, utilizing pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are made from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The yellow-output version uses Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs for optimal penetration in rain, snow, or fog without compromising output. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer to the radiator, and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking. The internals are potted, input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket is designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. It also includes integrated cable routing clips on the bracket stem. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses LucidShape to optimize performance around modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram. The NCS Combo Beam offers a blend of width and distance illumination, with an 8H x 4V oval hot spot and a 10V degree spread at beam center. The optional wire harness features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with amber-LED backlight. The A-pillar brackets are also compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams. The NCS and HXB Wide Beam models, with a standard -4 degree aim, are compliant with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights. Optional blackout covers are available for compliance in localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered.
