The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a versatile solution for additional lighting. This Ditch Light Kit for the 2013+ Ford Transit is designed for easy, modification-free installation using pre-existing mounting points. The laser-cut 304 stainless steel brackets are electroplated and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version is available for optimal performance in rain, snow, or fog using Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB and an optimized radiator for heat management. Its cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated to resist flaking. The internals are potted, input wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket meets IP69K standards for weather resistance. The kit includes cable routing clips for clean wiring. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics optimized using LucidShape. The HXB Wide Beam pattern illuminates the ground directly in front of the vehicle with dual-axis control for width and active hot spot control. This beam pattern is verified compliant with the latest SAE F regulation for use as a street-legal fog light when aimed at -4 degrees. The optional wire harness includes a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, an over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands like Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance in localities requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
