The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system offers a versatile lighting solution for vehicles, providing options for long-range spotlights or ditch lights. The kit is designed for a modification-free installation, utilizing pre-existing mounting points for perfect compatibility. The brackets are constructed from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version with Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs is available for optimal performance in adverse weather conditions like rain, snow, or fog.

The product emphasizes reliability, featuring a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer and optimized radiator design. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated to prevent flaking. The internals are potted, wiring is over-molded, and the main gasket meets IP69K standards for weather resistance. The kit includes cable routing clips for clean wiring management.

The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod lights use modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optics optimized using LucidShape and thermal dynamics analyzed with SolidWorks. The 4Banger is available with Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Combo Beam offers a blend of width and distance illumination, with an 8H x 4V oval hotspot and a 10V degree spread.

The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and an M-Spec push-button switch with an amber-LED backlight. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from other brands such as Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics.

Regarding street legality, when aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for auxiliary high beams, and the Wide beam model complies with SAE J583 for fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
