The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system provides a solution for auxiliary lighting, offering versatility for various driving conditions. It can be used for long-range spot-lighting or ditch lights to illuminate the side of the road. The A-Pillar kit for the 2019+ Silverado 1500 is designed for perfect compatibility and modification-free installation using pre-existing mounting points. The brackets are made from laser-cut 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for durability. The white-output version is suitable for all-around visibility, while a yellow-output version is available for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog due to Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs. The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximum heat transfer, and a cast aluminum shell that is electroplated and powder-coated. The internals are potted, and input wiring is over-molded, with a main gasket designed to IP69K standards for weather resistance. It includes mounting locations and cable routing clips for clean wiring with Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses LucidShape to optimize performance with Nichia and Osram LEDs. It is available with Wide/Fog, Spot, and Combo beam patterns. The NCS Combo Beam illuminates a clear path with medium range, providing a blend of width and distance illumination. The HXB Combo beam is described as an excellent aid to any set of high-performance headlights. The optional wire harness is designed with high-quality components, including a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay, over-molded inline fuse holder, DT06-2S female outputs, and a proprietary M-Spec push button switch. The A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from most other brands. When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for an auxiliary high beam, and the NCS and HXB Wide Beam models comply with SAE F regulation for street-legal fog lights with a standard -4 degree aim. Optional Blackout Covers are available for compliance in localities that require auxiliary lights to be covered.
