The Morimoto 4Banger A-Pillar LED system is a solution for increased lighting, offering versatility with long-range spotlights or ditch lights. The A-Pillar kit includes high-performance 4Banger LED pods, installation brackets, and a switched wire harness. Engineered Fitment: The kit for the Gladiator JT has been designed and tested for perfect compatibility and modification-free installation, utilizing pre-existing mounting points. Durability: Each bracket is laser-cut from 304 stainless steel, electroplated, and powder-coated for strength and resistance. All-Weather Performance: The Yellow-output version is ideal for optimal output in rain, snow, or fog, using Phosphor-Converted Yellow LEDs to penetrate through particles in the air without compromising output. Reliability: The 4Banger features a copper DTP (direct thermal path) PCB for maximizing heat transfer to the radiator. The cast aluminum shell is electroplated and powder-coated for durability. Potted internals, over-molded input wiring, and a main gasket are designed to IP69K standards for full weather resistance. Wiring & Cable Management: The brackets incorporate mounting locations and cable routing clips for clean wiring from the LED pods into the engine bay, connecting to Morimoto's switched relay wire harness. Performance: The patent-pending 4Banger LED pod light uses modern, lumen-dense LEDs from Nichia and Osram, with optimized optics and thermal dynamics. This kit features the NCS Combo Beam, which illuminates a clear path with medium range, providing a blend of width and distance illumination. The 8H x 4V oval hot spot with a 10V degree spread at beam center is tuned for an ideal flood beam. Power Up: The optional wire harness features a triple-sealed proprietary 4-pin relay with hanger, over-molded inline fuse holder with a 20A mini fuse, DT06-2S female outputs with dual seals, stainless steel power and ground terminals, and a proprietary M-Spec push-button switch with amber-LED backlight. Compatibility: While designed for the 4Banger LED pods, the A-Pillar brackets are compatible with LED pods from most other brands including Baja Designs, KC Hi-Lites, Rigid Industries, and Diode Dynamics. Street Legality: When aimed properly, the Spot and Combo beams comply with SAE J581 standards for an auxiliary high beam. The Wide beam model is compliant with SAE J583 for use in fog lamps. Optional Blackout Covers are available for localities requiring auxiliary lights to be covered for everyday driving.
