The Moroso 22461 is a racing oil filter designed for Chevy engines and others where space allows. It features a 2-quart capacity and a 13/16-16 UNF thread size.

Moroso developed this filter based on extensive research into racing oil systems, concluding that total filtration time is paramount. Unlike filters that prioritize extremely low micron ratings, which can lead to excessive pressure drop and bypass valve activation (rendering the filter ineffective), the 22461 is rated at 27 microns. This rating ensures a maximum initial restriction of only 2.5 psi when tested to SAE J806, resulting in less pressure drop, more flow, and reduced oil bypass for maximum filtration performance in severe racing conditions. Moroso engineers determined that particles smaller than 20 microns do not significantly contribute to engine wear.
