The Moroso 73833 Ultra 40 Race Ignition Wire Sets are designed for Ford 289-302 small block engines with an HEI distributor and 135° boots. These wires feature an 8.65mm diameter with 40 ohms of resistance per foot. The exterior sleeving enhances dielectric strength, providing resistance to outside electrical pulses and protecting the wires from heat, chafing, and contaminants. The sleeving is intended to extend spark plug wire life. The sets are complete and ready to install. They include locking stainless steel terminals for high vibration environments, high-temperature silicone boots capable of withstanding up to 600 degrees, and fold-over crimping to prevent loosening. The construction also includes a silicone jacket, an extra-thick EPDM layer for increased dielectric strength, a nickel copper alloy conductor for high spark energy transfer, a ferrite impregnated core for EMI suppression, a synthetic fiber center core for ultra-high tensile strength, and a nylon pull tape for unbeatable pull strength and terminal retention.
