The Mosselman MSL48-60 is an upgrade turbocharger engineered to enhance the performance of the BMW N55 engine in PWG (Pneumatic Wastegate) configurations. The turbocharger features compressor wheels CNC-milled from forged billet aluminum and turbine wheels constructed from Inconel or MAR-M, chosen for their ability to withstand extreme exhaust gas temperatures. Each unit undergoes rigorous individual wheel balancing followed by high-speed CHRA balancing under oil pressure to ensure stable boost and durability at speeds up to 200,000 rpm. Most fitment applications are for vehicles with a production date of 07/2013 or later; customers should verify specific fitment using their VIN prior to purchase to ensure compatibility, as this version is intended for PWG models and is not compatible with EWG (Electronic Wastegate) turbocharger versions.
