The Mahle MAH-VC1027 is a set of race rod bearings manufactured by Mahle Motorsport, formerly Vandervell. These bearings are made in the UK using F1 technology and feature a proprietary tri-metal blend for added durability and stiffness under high load. They are designed with state-of-the-art software to ensure optimal oil film thickness.

This set includes 8 half shells with oiling holes for steady oil supply, and they also feature bearing locating tangs. The identification marks are laser-etched, allowing for better heat transfer and more even wear compared to stamped marks.

The Mahle Motorsport/Vandervell Race Rod Bearing Set (MAH-VC1027) is engineered for high-performance applications, leveraging over 70 years of race bearing manufacturing expertise from Mahle Motorsport, previously known as Vandervell. They are built to withstand the high loads and stresses of race engines, offering a stiffer bearing profile. Advanced software is utilized to optimize oil film thickness, enhancing reliability and reducing the risk of bearing failure. Key features include laser-etched identification marks, which improve heat transfer and ensure more even wear compared to traditional stamped marks. This set contains 8 half shells, each equipped with oiling holes, designed to supply a consistent flow of oil to the wrist pin, particularly beneficial when used with rifle-drilled connecting rods. The bearings also incorporate locating tangs for precise installation. The product is suitable for a range of VW and Audi 4-cylinder engines, including various 2.0T and 1.8T models across different chassis like the Golf, Jetta, Passat, and Tiguan, as well as Audi models such as the A3, S3, A4, A5, and TT.
