The Fabspeed Motorsport Competition Link X-Pipe is engineered to significantly enhance mid and high-end power for the Porsche 997 Carrera vehicles produced between 2005 and 2008. By replacing the factory catalytic converters with a free-flowing x-pipe design, this component aims to deliver improved throttle response and an aggressive sports car sound. This X-Pipe is rated to add 12 horsepower and 12 ft-lbs of torque, contributing to a more exhilarating driving experience. It also offers a weight saving of 10 lbs from the rear of the vehicle. Fabspeed indicates this system is recommended for track and off-road use only, and is utilized by numerous race teams. The installation is described as a simple DIY bolt-on process, allowing for easy removal for vehicles used both on and off the track. Optional O2 Spacers are available to help mitigate potential Check Engine Light (CEL) occurrences. It is crucial to note that this product removes the OEM catalytic converters and is strictly intended for closed track events and off-road use, not for public roads.
