The CSF B58 Performance Charge-Air Cooler Manifold is engineered to significantly enhance the cooling efficiency for compatible BMW B58 engines. This high-performance unit features a Motorsports-Grade Bar/Plate Air-to-Water Intercooler Core, offering double the capacity of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) core. Its advanced design promotes faster recovery of intake air temperatures (IATs), with documented reductions of approximately 30 degrees Fahrenheit compared to OEM. It achieves a lower pressure drop than the OEM core, which translates to reduced stress on the turbocharger system. This allows for the potential to achieve higher boost targets and more consistent power delivery, especially under demanding conditions. For vehicles equipped with bolt-on upgrades and running a stage 2 tune, testing has indicated significant performance gains. On a vehicle producing approximately 400 wheel horsepower (whp), the CSF manifold demonstrated an increase of about 26 whp and 11 wheel torque (wtq) compared to the stock cooler. These gains are expected to be even more substantial as engine power levels are further increased. This CSF charge-air cooler manifold is specifically designed for a range of BMW models, including the 5-Series (G30), 6-Series GT Gran Turismo (G32), X3 (G01/F97), X4 (G02/F98), X5 (G05/F95), X6 (G06/F96), X7 (G07), Z4 (G29), 3-Series (G20), and 8-Series (G14/G15/G16). Fitment extends to various trims such as 540i, 540d xDrive, 640i GT xDrive, M340i, X3 M40i, X4 M40i, X5 sDrive40i/xDrive40i/xDrive45e, X6 sDrive40i/xDrive40i, X7 xDrive40i, Z4 M40i, and 840i variants. It is crucial to note that this product is intended for off-highway and motorsports use only. Additionally, the manifolds cannot be anodized, and CSF is not responsible for warranties on manifolds coated by anyone other than CSF. Lead times can range from 3-4 weeks depending on finish selection. CARB and TUV applications are currently pending approval.
