It secures the mounting bolt that passes through the flat lower mounting bracket, which in turn secures your tent to your vehicle's load bars, crossbars, or roof rack.

This bracket is a replacement part for commonly stripped or misplaced components during tent installation or removal. The kit includes one sliding bracket, one M8 bolt, and one M8 nylock nut.

The Tuff Stuff rooftop tent sliding installation bracket is a crucial component for securely mounting your rooftop tent to your vehicle. It slides into the tent's bottom mounting rail, allowing the main mounting bolt to pass through and connect to the lower bracket, ultimately attaching the tent to your vehicle's load bars or roof rack. These brackets are prone to stripping due to overtightening or can be easily lost during tent removal and reinstallation. This kit provides a direct replacement for such situations, ensuring the integrity of your tent's mounting system. Specifications include one sliding bracket, one M8 bolt, and one M8 nylock nut. Sliding brackets are sold individually. This installation bracket is compatible with Tuff Stuff Ranger, Ranger 65, Elite, Delta, and Trailhead rooftop tents. It is NOT compatible with Alpha, Alpha II, Stealth, Alpine FiftyOne, Alpine SixtyOne, or other branded tents. Tuff Stuff does not recommend this bracket for use with any tent other than those explicitly listed as compatible.
