The HP Tuners MPVI3 is a universal diagnostic tool that integrates scanning, diagnostics, logging, and calibration capabilities into one powerful device. It includes the Pro Feature Set, VCM Editor, VCM Scanner, and essential programming/USB cables, providing a comprehensive solution for vehicle tuning and analysis. This iteration of the MPVI3 is equipped with advanced features, including enhanced firmware for logging additional analog signals beyond factory ECM capabilities, standalone data logging, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, an HP Tuners Proprietary Expansion Port, and mobile device support. These enhancements contribute to faster processing, editing, and writing of software for your vehicle. The VCM Scanner, a key component of the MPVI3, functions as a robust scan tool. It allows users to view, chart, and log diagnostic data in real-time via the OBDII port, clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), and access other vehicle module information. Furthermore, it provides real-time command control over functions such as closed loop operation, fans, gear selection, timing, and air-fuel ratio adjustments. Complementing the scanner, the VCM Editor allows users to read the flash memory of most vehicle control modules and save it in HP Tuners' proprietary .HPT file format. It offers extensive tuning capabilities, enabling adjustments to parameters like torque strategies, spark tables, fueling, RPM limits, fan activations, transmission shift points and pressures, exhaust valve control, and speedometer settings. These modifications can then be written back to the vehicle's control modules using the MPVI3. The Pro Feature Set, while integrated, requires the Prolink+ Cable, which is sold separately, for enhanced analog signal logging. The device features 8GB of storage and utilizes a USB-C port for a 12x faster connection speed. It also includes a motorsports-grade, screw-on M8 connector. Note that as of 2025, this specific part number (M03-000-00) has been discontinued and replaced by the MPVI4.
