MPx 60mm Throttle Body

The MPx 60mm Throttle Body from Modern Performance is engineered to enhance the performance of your 1995-1999 Dodge/Plymouth Neon or 1995-1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse non-turbo manual transmission vehicles. This upgrade replaces the restrictive factory 52mm throttle body with a larger 60mm unit, designed for a straight-through flow that increases airflow by roughly 25%. This enhancement directly contributes to improved throttle response and a measurable increase in power, with reported gains of 7-9 hp for many Neon/Eclipse NA owners. It also offers adjustable throttle pedal feel, ranging from medium to super firm, by simply repositioning the throttle spring. The design allows for the easy transfer of factory throttle linkage and sensors, including the OEM throttle position sensor and idle air control sensor, ensuring full functionality without check engine lights. The evap system vacuum port is also retained. While it bolts on directly, port matching the intake manifold to the 60mm throttle body is recommended for maximum performance gains. Crucially, no electronic tune is required post-installation; the vehicle's computer will relearn and adjust its tune automatically. The factory cruise control system remains functional. It does NOT work on automatic transmission Neons/Eclipses. Furthermore, it is not compatible with 2000-2005 Dodge/Plymouth Neons or 2003-2005 Dodge SRT-4 models. For vehicles with their interior removed, care must be taken during testing to ensure the pedal does not travel beyond 100% throttle opening to prevent throttle linkage damage; a stronger throttle shaft replacement is recommended.
