Description

The 034 Motorsports MQB Front Subframe Locking Collar Kit is engineered to eliminate subframe shifting and precisely locate the front subframe on Volkswagen MkVII Golf/GTI/R and Mk8 GTI/R models. This upgrade addresses common subframe clunks, pops, and creaks that occur during slow turns, when entering driveways, or when stopping and starting. The kit also comes with new factory replacement subframe bolts that feature correct tips and thread engagement points to prevent stripping. Unlike kits made with softer alloys, these stainless steel collars are resistant to deformation, promising a lifetime of performance. Installation is described as straightforward and achievable in approximately one hour, with no permanent modifications required, making the upgrade completely reversible. 034Motorsport rates the NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) transfer from this kit as None to Low, although they note that NVH perception is subjective.
