The Genuine MQB Lower Engine Cover from Racingline is designed to restore the clean, factory appearance of your EA888 Gen 3 engine. This genuine OE part sits over the inlet manifold, concealing exposed plastic and associated pipework for a tidy, OEM finish. It's an ideal solution for those who have fitted an open intake, replaced the manifold, or simply wish to enhance the overall look of their engine bay. This cover is specifically designed for popular VW, Audi, SEAT, and Skoda 2.0 TSI EA888 Gen 3 engines utilizing the MQB platform. Examples include the Golf Mk7 GTI and R, Audi A3/S3 8V, SEAT Leon Cupra Mk3, and Skoda Octavia vRS Mk3. The part features a black, OE appearance and mounts using a ball stud fixing, which is sold separately. The installation process involves screwing the ball stud into the intake manifold, guiding the cover onto the stud, and pressing it into place until it clicks. It is important not to overtighten the ball stud, as the manifold is plastic and can be damaged. While this cover will not add power, it provides a proper, finished appearance to the engine bay, bringing it back to a factory standard. Customers are responsible for verifying fitment for their specific vehicle.
