MQB MK7/MK7.5 GTI FMIC Kit

The CTS Turbo Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) Kit is specifically designed for the MK7/MK7.5 VW GTI, serving as a significant cooling upgrade for both stock and modified vehicles. This kit aims to reduce heat soak and lower charge air temperatures through an increased core volume and optimized intercooler placement. The high-density bar and plate intercooler core is rated for up to 450hp and measures 24" x 8" x 2.75", paired with smooth-flowing cast aluminum end tanks for efficient air management. Installation is designed to be straightforward, with the kit featuring 4-ply silicon couplers and stainless steel T-Bolt clamps. Notably, the design requires no trimming to the OEM bumper or rebar, simplifying the process. The kit also includes necessary hardware for relocating the SAI pump and the outside air temperature sensor. It is crucial to note that this FMIC kit is designed for 2015-2020 VW GTI models *without* the front collision warning system integrated into the lower grille. The kit does not fit vehicles equipped with a forward-collision warning system, identified by a small black radar unit in the front grille.
