The Racingline Genuine MQB Subframe Dogbone Mount Bolt, with OEM part number N 912 010 01, is a critical component for securing the dogbone mount on MQB platform vehicles. This rear lower engine mount plays a vital role in controlling engine and gearbox movement during acceleration and braking. This specific bolt is a stretch bolt, also known as a torque-to-yield bolt. This design means it is intended for single use only; it physically stretches when tightened to its specified torque and angle to ensure a precise clamping load. Reusing this bolt can lead to inaccurate torque, potential loosening, or even failure. It is recommended to always fit new hardware when the original bolt has been disturbed. This includes situations such as replacing or upgrading the dogbone mount or its insert, removing and refitting the subframe, or any service work requiring the original mount bolt to be loosened. Using a fresh bolt provides security and peace of mind at a small cost. This bolt is compatible with a wide range of MQB platform vehicles from Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT, Cupra, and Skoda, particularly those equipped with 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines.
