MRR 3-Way Adjustable Rear Shock with 50mm Billet Aluminum

The Dobinsons MRR shock absorber is a 3-way adjustable rear shock engineered to significantly increase performance over standard shock absorbers, addressing issues like shock fade and inadequate load handling. Designed and tested in Australia for harsh conditions worldwide, it features a robust construction built to withstand extreme temperatures and rough terrain. Key components include a 50mm CNC machined high-flow billet aluminum race piston for superior valving and a heavy-duty 3mm thick DOM seamless 56mm O.D. shock body. The upgraded 3-stage FKMHNBR sealing system ensures durability, while the 18mm micro-polished, hard chrome-plated shock shaft boasts a tensile strength exceeding 700MPA. The shock also incorporates a T6 6061 height-adjustable spring seat and a carbon-fiber/PTFE/disulphide composite wear band for low-friction, low-wear performance. A 60mm full 6063 aluminum remote reservoir provides additional damping capacity. Adjustability is a core feature, with 10 stages of high-speed compression for aggressive off-roading, 20 stages of low-speed compression for crawling and cornering, and 15 stages of rebound control to manage coil movement and prevent bucking. The design is fully rebuildable, and it offers a direct bolt-on installation for compatible vehicles. This specific shock absorber, MRA59-A225, is designed for the Toyota 4Runner 2nd Gen (1990-2002), Toyota 4Runner 3rd Gen (1996-2002), and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 90 Series (1996-2003). Please note that MRA59-A941 shocks (which may be related or a different part number in the series) require 24" brake lines and 3" bump stop extensions or a bump stop at least 3" longer than OEM.
