The Mountune 1.6L MRX Long Block serves as a high-performance, race-ready engine solution for 2014-2019 Ford Fiesta ST models. Each assembly is built starting from a brand new Ford OEM aluminum block, which is fortified with a 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum Cylinder Support System. This reinforcement provides essential support between cylinders to prevent common failure points like cracking, walking, or bell-mouthing while maintaining original equipment integrity. Technically advanced, this long block features Mountune forged pistons, forged H-beam connecting rods, and race-grade tri-metal bearings. The MRX cylinder head is a factory unit that has undergone precision machining to improve intake airflow by 51% and exhaust airflow by 24%. It is equipped with high-performance black nitrided intake valves, sodium inconel exhaust valves, motorsport valve stem seals, and V2 camshafts for optimized engine output. This assembly also includes a baffled oil control sump and premium high-performance cylinder head studs for reliable operation under demanding conditions. It provides a comprehensive, balanced engine foundation suitable for enthusiasts seeking increased durability and performance in their Fiesta ST build.
